Fotolog is back, now as an app!

Fotolog, the popular social network (from 10 years ago) where you could upload one photo per day, is back! And this time it's an app. As you'd expect, you can use it just like before, uploading one photo per day with a short caption.

The first thing you have to do in order to use Fotolog is create a user account or log in to your old account from 10 years ago. If you have an old account, then surprise! It still has all your old photos. You might not have seen these photos since 2005, but they'll be there waiting for you all the same.

Once you've logged in, you'll find the same old Fotolog. You can upload a daily photo with a short caption, take a look at other users' photos, follow other accounts and be followed by them, customize your profile, etc. Just as you'd expect!

Fotolog was a true pioneer in its day, but this app might have arrived to the party too late. Its competitors - like Instagram and Twitter, to give two examples - offer more and better features, although there's nothing quite like nostalgia.

That's a little thing we like to call nostalgia, a feeling that creeps up on us now and again and makes us think that "any time before now was better." Now, without trying to offend anyone, it's time to bust this myth and there's no better way to do it than with Fotolog, that social network from the beginning of the century that's now decided to make a comeback in the form of an app for mobile devices. If you still have your account and you haven't deleted your posts, then get ready for a whole flood of embarrassment.
